The Arctic Rosewood box ….

The question from Wyoming was “Is there any heating in the turning shed?”, what a challenge. Armed with my fishing thermometer out from the back door into Arctic conditions our intrepid turner went; I nearly issued those immortal words, “I may be a little while ….”. The temperature reading in the shed began to fall and by the time the blank had been mounted the temperature had fallen to – 3 degrees Celsius and when turning began, it was -5!!! The challenge was on, it was like turning in the Arctic. However this was a battle against frostbite and from the final result it was a success. When I left the shed it was a balmy -2. It doesn’t compare with  -16 recently in Wyoming.

Happy turning from the frozen north
