The Grey Turkey from Tom Stewart’s book 200 Popular flies

Had a great time in Huddersfield with Viki, Stuart and Dylan. It was nice to catch up with old friends. Dressed the Halifax from Hale on Saturday with Dylan and then tied at the open day on Sunday. Dylan showed me how to catch Perch once again, brought back childhood memories, fantastic. Going to show Dylan how to fish for Pike on Bassenthwaite this summer, can’t wait.

Great to see other old friends, Brian Warrington, Stuart Crofts, Ricky and Melvin. Was especially good to see Neil Truelove, a great friend we always have a good laugh. Demonstrated the intricacies of dressing a spider and gold head nymph to his friend (and mine)  Mike. The Grey Turkey turned out really well, think I will frame this one.
